DMCA Policy

Digital Millennium Copyright Act notice and takedown policy.

MyCalculatorHQ.com respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our Website to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement.

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content on MyCalculatorHQ infringes your copyright, please send a written notification containing the following information to our designated agent (see Section 5):

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work — describe the work you claim has been infringed, or provide a representative list if multiple works are involved.
  2. Identification of the infringing material — provide the URL or sufficient information to locate the allegedly infringing content on our Website.
  3. Your contact information — provide your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Good faith statement — include the following statement: "I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
  5. Accuracy statement — include the following statement: "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner."
  6. Signature — your physical or electronic signature.

Important: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a DMCA notice or counter-notice may be subject to liability for damages.

2. Our Response Process

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:

  1. Acknowledge receipt of your notice within 5 business days
  2. Investigate the claim and review the allegedly infringing content
  3. Remove or disable access to the infringing material if the claim is valid
  4. Notify the uploader or content creator of the takedown
  5. Inform you of our action within 10–15 business days

3. Counter-Notification

If content you submitted was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error or based on misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. A valid counter-notification must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the removed material and its location prior to removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. Consent to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district, and acceptance of service of process from the complaining party

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed content.

4. Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA, it is our policy to terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.

5. Contact Our Designated Agent

To submit a DMCA notice or counter-notification, please use our contact form and select "DMCA / Copyright" as the subject. Please include all required elements listed above. We do not display our direct email address publicly.

We will acknowledge valid DMCA notices sent through our contact form and process them in accordance with this policy.

6. Non-Infringing Uses

Please note that certain uses of copyrighted material may be considered fair use or otherwise non-infringing under copyright law. We encourage rights holders to consider fair use, commentary, criticism, education, and news reporting exceptions before submitting a DMCA notice.

7. Original Content

The majority of content on MyCalculatorHQ — including calculator code, educational articles, formulas, and design — is original work created by the MyCalculatorHQ editorial team. Mathematical formulas are not subject to copyright. Standard financial and scientific formulas are in the public domain.
